Friends of Grouseland and board members all dined at Adams Coliseum last night to hear about the findings of a study done on the structures of this historic land mark.

Early photos of the Grouseland House were shown, along with comparison pieces showing just how unique the house is for its location here in Vincennes.

Historical Architect Eric Gradoia  spearheaded the study which took about two years.

He says the study breaks down the architectural history, social history, and conditions of the building to plan for future restorations that may be needed.

Gradoia says it’s been fifty years since Grouseland’s last major restoration.

This is the first in depth comprehensive study that has been done on Grouseland.

Executive Director of the Grouseland Foundation Lisa Ice-Jones says this is the first time the outcomes of the study have been presented to the public.

Overall Gradoia says Grouseland has been maintained extremely well.
