The Bi-State Authority met in regular monthly session Tuesday at the Mid-American Air Center located northeast of Lawrenceville and handled a number of items. They were briefed by airport manager Kurt Schwartz on the annual required EPA stormwater system report for the airport operation. They approved painting bids for work on the airport hangers. The authority will look into the potential marketing and advertising of the former Kaufmann Engineering site as a location for future business development. Also given approval was a request by the Samaritan Center in Vincennes for the use of an airport hanger to stage a “Dancing With the Stars” type of competition in the future.
