Ardith A. Cessna, age 79, of Bridgeport, Illinois passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Lavender Ridge Dignified Memory Care in Olney, Illinois. She was born on June 03, 1942 in Vincennes, Indiana, the daughter of John Harold and Catherine (Hulen) Perry. She married Everett Cessna on July 20, 1958, and he survives.
Ardith was a homemaker. She enjoyed singing, doing crossword puzzles, dancing, and spending time with her dog, Corky.
Preceding her in death was her parents and one brother-in-law, Kenny Cessna.
Survivors include her husband, Everett; four children, Debbie (Bill) Hughes of Sumner, Illinois, Dana (Terry) Andrews of Bridgeport, Illinois, Kelvin (Leanna) Cessna of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Delvin (Roxana) Cessna of Bridgeport, Illinois; one brother, Jerry Wayne (Nancy) Perry of Clearwater, Florida; one sister-in-law, Sue Cessna of Sumner, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Christopher (Noel) Pentell, Angie (David Clark) Holtz, Dustin (Lindsay) Andrews, Ashley (Nick) Ziegler, Emily (Garrett) Janssen, Jenna (John) Schuelke, Callie Cessna, Mason (Shalane) Cessna, and Ocean Cessna; and 14 great-grandchildren, with the anticipated arrival of another one.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 11:00 AM CST at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County Humane Society or the Lawrence County Senior Citizens Center.
