The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,304 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus Tuesday across the state with 47 additional deaths. The latest Lawrence County Health Department figures show 2 positive cases reported Tuesday with the county total now at 2,283. 162 of those cases are active with no hospitalizations. 2,092 people have recovered and the death toll is stationary at 29. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 1,130, 917 cases and 19,306 deaths in Illinois. The IDPH also reports that there have now been over 1 million vaccinations administered in the state with over 32,000 doses given out Tuesday. The Indiana State Department of Health reported 8 new COVID-19 cases in Knox County bringing the total there to 3,439. The death count remained at 39.
