The National Weather Service has continued the Flood Warning for the Embarras River at Lawrenceville through Thursday. The river Tuesday morning was at 29.4 feet just below flood stage of 30 feet. The river is forecast to rise above flood late Tuesday and crest at about 30.5 feet Wednesday before falling below flood Thursday evening. The river continues to rise from rain and snowmelt in the upper Embarras River Basin flowing downstream. Extensive flooding is not expected.
