LAWRENCE COUNTY MARKS VETERANS DAY

veterans-day-1-2

Under bright sunny skies, Lawrence County paused Wednesday to pay tribute to and honor those who have served the United States and fought to preserve the freedoms we enjoy today on Veterans Day. The Lawrenceville V.F.W. Post  hosted it’s annual observance at the Veterans Monument located on the northwest corner of the Lawrence County Courthouse square in downtown Lawrenceville. Guest speaker for the affair was Phillip David of Lawrenceville-a non veteran. He expressed his gratitude to the service given by local and all veterans and called on all citizens to do their part to serve veterans by helping them and assisting them in life. The local ceremony was one of many in communities across the area, state and nation honoring war heroes on Veterans Day 2020.
