Lawrenceville Police report a local youth was injured when his bicycle was hit by a truck last Friday afternoon at a city intersection. The mishap occured around 5 p.m. at Collins Avenue and 9th Street. The male juvenile from Lawrenceville was hit by an eastbound 2008 Chevrolet Pickup Truck whose driver was Melvin Yarber of rural Lawrenceville. He was taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. There were no other injuries. Police investigating indicate that there were no citations issued.
