The Vincennes City Council held its final session of 2019 Thursday evening at City Hall. They passed resolutions approving tranfers of funds into various accounts to balance those before the end of the year. Mayor Joe Yochum thanked the four outgoing members of the Council-Duane Chattin, Traci Breece, Scott Brown, and Shirley Rose for their service to the city. Proclamations were read for Chattin (28 years) Brown (16 years) and Rose (20 years) recognizing their lengthy tenures on the council. Their newly elected replacements will taken their seats on the council next month. The new council will need to find a replacement for Redevelopment Commission Chairman Brad Dale. Dale announced Thursday he is resigning effective at the end of the month. He is the councils appointment to that Commission.
