Shawn Allen Grostefon, 30, Shelburn, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Sullivan County Community Hospital. Shawn was born June 8, 1985, in Vincennes, the son of Robert and Laura (Clark) Grostefon. He graduated from North Knox in 2004. He married Jacqueline Lynn Russell on April 24, 2015. He was a communications specialist for Steimel’s Communications. He was also a member of the Vincennes Moose Lodge.
Shawn is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; mother, Laura; father, Robert; step-mother, Angela; sisters, Nikki Grostefon of Fort Wayne, Patricia Grostefon of Monroe City, McKenzie Grostefon of Bruceville, Heather Crane of Bicknell, and Tonya Baabs and husband Jon of Bedford; and brothers, Shannon Crane of Texas, Christopher Thompson of Fairbanks, Alaska and Jerry Thompson of Bicknell.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Clark; paternal grandmother, Erna May Masters; and uncle, Howard Clark.
Friends may visit the family on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bicknell Chapel. A second visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 also at the funeral home from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM with Pastor Matt Hoffman officiating.
