Lawrence County State’s Attorney Michael Strange announced that two people were sentenced in Lawrence County Circuit Court this week. 31 year-old Ricky W. Pinkstaff of Lawrenceville was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. That will be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. Pinkstaff is also required to pay court costs.
27 year-old Felicia M. Harmon of Flat Rock was re-sentenced to two years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Harmon had previously been placed on two years of felony probation; but admitted to violating the terms of her probation by providing drug screens that tested positive for methamphetamine. Harmon’s prison sentence will be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release. Harmon is also required to pay fines as well as court costs.
