C. Glen Gulledge, age 76, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Deaconess Henderson Hospital in Henderson, Kentucky. He was born on January 06, 1948 in Harrisburg, Illinois, the son of Curtis C. and Hazel (Gibbs) Gulledge. He married Rebecca ‘Becky’ K. Shidler on October 22, 1972, and she preceded him in death on February 26, 2007.
Glen served his country in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Laborers Local Union 561, and worked for E. H. Montgomery Construction in Vincennes. He loved racing, fishing, camping, as well as spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Becky Gulledge; and one brother, Danny Ray Gulledge.
Survivors include one son, Ryan Gulledge and wife, Missy of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one brother, Darrell Gulledge of Idaho; five sisters, Phyllis Woods of Olney, Illinois, Kay Magee of Olney, Illinois, Donna Napier of Kentucky, Sue McIntire and husband, Ralph of Claremont, Illinois, and Janet Kirkwood of Olney, Illinois; two grandchildren, Katelynn Haney and Chris of Tennessee and Colton Gulledge and A.J. of Lawrenceville, Illinois; and four great-grandchildren, Brentley Glen, Zedda Kay, Oliver Winston, and River Kane.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 26, 2023 at 2:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Friday from
1:00 PM until 2:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
