Paul David Wells, Sr., age 82, of Lawrenceville passed away at his home on Thursday, December 28, 2023. He was born February 21, 1941, in Billett, IL to Arvin Leroy Wells and his wife Fluorean (Dennison) Wells.
On January 17, 1981, Paul married Hazel Hallam. Hazel preceded him in death.
As a young man, Paul served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He later worked for many years with Morris Construction.
Surviving relatives include: two children- Paul David Wells, Jr. and Joyce Alice Wells: one brother- Marvin Wells: one sister- Linda Hawkins: three grandchildren- Paul Gunzel and wife Anna, Stephanie Schultz and her husband Michael, and Daniel Wells and wife Alicia: and seven great-grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by: his parents- Arvin Leroy Wells and Florence Wells: his wife- Hazel Wells: and three brothers- Arvin Wells, Jim Wells, and Billy Wells.
