Anyone in Lawrence County or the surrounding area who is interested in starting a small business in the new year of 2024 is encouraged to attend a seminar of the subject next month. The Lawrence County Industrial Development Council (LCIDC) will host the event on Wednesday January 17th from 2 until 4 p.m. at it’s office at First Mid Bank and Trust in Lawrenceville. Those who attend will learn the ins and outs of starting a business, business networking and web tools for business development. Experts from the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Illinois Eastern Community Colleges will also be on hand to offer startup tips and help.
