SALUKIS WIN SECOND IN A ROW

The Red Hill Basketball Salukis broke open a close game with strong second and third quarters Tuesday night at home in Bridgeport to defeat visiting Dugger Union (Ind) 48-39. The hosts led 11-8 after the first quarter but then outscored the Bulldogs 17-10 to lead  28-18 at the half. They then extended the lead after three quarters to 39-22 before the visitors made a push combined with Saluki turnovers at the end to cut the final margin to 9. The 3-5 Salukis were led by Hayden Arbuckle with 15 points and Ozzy Ash with 12 while the 0-5 Bulldogs were paced by 6 foot 9 inch center Andy Colvin who scored a game high 22. The Saluki JV also were winner 52-18 with Layton Moore scoring 14 and Abram Clark 12. The Salukis have won two in a row and three of their last four. They will remain at home Friday to host Odin/Patoka Friday night.
