LADY VOLLEYBALL INDIAN SEASON ENDS

The Lawrenceville Lady Volleyball Indians ended prematurely Monday night. The host Lady Indians were bounced from their own Class 2A Regional on their home floor by the Toledo (Cumberland) Lady Pirates in three sets 25-14, 24-26, 18-25. The loss snapped a three game winning streak for the squad and ends their season at 19-14. Toledo (Cumberland) will move on to face Carmi (White County) in the semi-finals Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the LHS Gymnasium. In the other first round game Monday, Newton defeated Marshall 25-8, 25-18. The Lady Eagles will now play Robinson Tuesday in the second semi-final at 7 p.m. The winners will play for the regional title Friday at 6 p.m. A reminder that there is a $5.00 IHSA set admission to the tournament with no passes accepted.
