The Knox County Sheriffs Department is reporting the discovery of a large cache of drugs and drug paraphenalia by it’s K-9 unit this past Sunday. Around 11:30 p.m. ET, a traffic stop was made on a vehicle and a subsequent search of the vehicle by K-9 Deputy Goran led to the discovery of a backpack inside the trunk. That backpack was found to contain 2 large plastic bags containing over 400 grams of marijuana. Also discovered were 2 metal grinders, 2 smoking devices, silver digital scales, several small plastic bags and 16 THC vape pens/cartridges. The unidentified driver was charged in connection with the incident. No other details were given.
