The Lawrence Public Library Board of Trustees met in regular monthly session Tuesday evening at the library in downtown Lawrenceville. After a public hearing prior to the session, the board unanimously approved the final 2024 Fiscal Year Budget for the operation of the district. They also approved an ordinance formally adopting the budget and enacting an appropriation ordinance for the district. The board was also informed by library director and head librarian Diane Brumley that the new Hoopla digital subscription service recently approved for the library has been implemented earlier than anticipated and is proving to be initially successful. These type of services and others offered by the library are available to those who hold a library card.
