FOOTBALL INDIANS REMAIN UNBEATEN

Bryant Jenkins ran for two second half touchdowns of 18 and 5 yards and the Lawrenceville Indian offense converted on a key fourth down play late to run out the clock and picked up a 20-13 Little Illini Conference (LIC) win Friday over the Paris Tigers at Paris. The victory enabled the Tribe to remain unbeaten at 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the league. Tanner Waller ran 16 times for 128 yards including a 78 yard TD run in the first quarter that gave the Indians the early lead. Quarterback Drew Rogers ran 13 yards and back Calvin Rigdon 25 yards for the host Tigers, who fall to 2-2 and 1-1 in the LIC. The Indians return home next Saturday for Homecoming as they entertain the 4-0 Casey Westfield Warriors at Ed Loeb Field in Lawrenceville.
