A Southwest Indiana male fugitive has been captured in Vincennes. On Monday, 30 year old Philbert Levi Wright of Bloomfield walked away from the Greene County Work Release Center through a fire exit and then discarded his tracking bracelet nearby before fleeing. He had been placed on work release after robbery and assault convictions. A search ensued by law enforcement agencies in the region with Wright described as armed and dangerous. He was apprehended late Tuesday night in Vincennes by Vincennes University Police and was booked into the Knox County Jail preliminarily charged with Escape and Auto Theft. Other charges could be pending in the case.
