CONAGRA CHICKEN STRIP RECALL

ConAgra Brands has announced a nationwide recall of more than 245,000 pounds of its frozen chicken strips. It is due to the possibility that they may contain pieces of plastics. The affected cartons say Banquet Chicken Strips Meal on the packaging and have best if used by dates of December 11th 2024, January 1st 2025 or January 7th 2025. The products have the number “EST.P-9” printed on the side of the carton. The problem was discovered after a consumer complaint was received by the Food Safety Inspection Service (FSIS) that plastic was discovered in the chicken strip portion of the meal after an oral injury from consuming the product. There have been no additional complaints of injury or sickness from product consumption. Those who have affected cartons should take them to the place of purchase for a refund or simply discard them.
