Billy Wade Polk, 78 of Flat Rock, Illinois, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Saturday August 19, 2023 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
He was born June 20, 1945 in Vincennes, Indiana the son of Leonard Austin and Lois (Timms) Polk.
Billy was an Instrument Tech at Alcoa in Newburgh, Indiana and retired in 2001. He traveled to all the States in America on his motorcycle including Alaska. He was a people person and enjoyed social interaction. His hobbies include deer hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was a member of the Lawrenceville Moose Lodge and the Westside Nut Club in Evansville, Indiana. He Played Santa Claus for various charities.
Survivors include his beloved Caroyln Tornatta, children: Brannon Polk and his wife Lori of Evansville, Indiana, Amy Brandsasse of Evansville, Indiana, Barry Polk of Evansville, Indiana, a brother; Jack Polk and wife Anna of Bridgeport, Illinois, five grandchildren; Audra Brandsasse, Kasey Ferguson husband Taylor, Benjamin Polk and wife Ellen, Austin Polk, and Olivia Polk, and two great-grandchildren: Beau Ferguson and Sage Polk.
A time of visitation will be Wednesday August 23, 2023 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm CTS, at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home 1303 12th St. Lawrenceville, Illinois. Private services and burial will be conducted at a later date.
Memorial donations may be given to the Moose Charities Moose Heart.
