Lawrenceville Police Chief Jim White has released his monthly department activity report for July. Lawrenceville Police received 350 requests for an officer during the month. Those officers were involved in 5 mental health responses, 11 domestic interventions, 15 drug investigations, 13 assault and battery investigations, 5 cases of vandalism, 5 cases of theft and 6 cases of child abuse/neglect. The department made 15 felony, 22 misdeameanor and 4 juvenile arrests in July. They also handled 7 traffic accidents-5 involved property damage and there were 2 hit and run incidents. Lawrenceville Police did lend their assistance to the Illinois State Police and Lawrence County Sheriffs Department 5 times, to emergency fire and rescue personnel 4 times and to the general public 9 times in July.
