Lawrence County was eliminated from the four team double elimination Little League District 1 All-Star tournament at Olney Saturday. The local squad was beaten by Mt Carmel in an elimination game after losing to Salem 13-3 in their opening game Friday and finished 0-2. Also in action Saturday, host Olney edged Salem 6-5 to move to 2-0 after an 11-0 win Friday over Mt Carmel. In action Sunday, Mt Carmel remained alive with a win over Salem. 2-1 Mt Carmel will now meet 2-0 Olney Monday night at 7 p.m. An Olney victory would give them the tournament championship while a Mt Carmel win would force another championship game Tuesday at 7 p.m.
