Play began Friday in the 2023 Olney District 1 Little League 10U Baseball tournament. In the opening game, host Olney beat Mt Carmel 11-0 and in the second game Salem knocked off Lawrence County 13-3. Play continues Saturday, weather and field conditions permitting. In the winners bracket at 6 p.m. Olney meets Salem and in an elimination game at 8 p.m. Lawrence County plays Mt Carmel.
