STROMAN STRONG IN CUB SHUTOUT

Starting Chicago Cubs pitcher Marcus Stroman went 7 shutout innings allowing only 5 hits and combined with two other relievers to shut out the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-0 at PNC Park in Pittsburgh Tuesday night. The win was the 7th in a row for Stroman, who is now 9-4 on the season. Tucker Barnhart and Mike Tauchman both homered as the Cubs held the hosts scoreless for a second straight night.
