Player rosters have now been released for the 2023 Wabash Valley Football Coaches Association (WVFCA) All-Star game this weekend at Rose Hulman University near Terre Haute. The annual game is scheduled for Saturday June 24th at 7 p.m. ET at Cook Stadium. The contest will pit the Black Division against the Gold Division. Five Lawrence County players are on the roster for the Black-Morgan Halter and Braden Baker of the Lawrenceville Indians and Jacob Powden, Wyatt Cox and Clay Gaither of the Red Hill Salukis. Other Illinois players on the Black roster are from Robinson, Tri-Co and Cumberland while the Gold will have Illinois players from Robinson, Casey-Westfield, Richland County (Olney), Marshall, Newton and Oblong-Palestine-Hutsonville (OPH). Player practices began last weekend leading up to the WVFCA Hall of Fame Induction and Player banquet Friday at the Terre Haute Convention Center.
