SHOOTING SUSPECT IN COURT

The female suspect in the armed robbery of a Grayville truckstop this past Sunday made her first appearance in court. 39 year old Kimberly Clerk of St Louis was extradicted to White County after her arrest in Jefferson County Illinois. She was captured there after her vehicle broke down after fleeing the Road Ranger location following the early morning incident in which a 35 year old female employee was shot and wounded. She remains in stable condition in an Evansville hospital. Clerk was formally charged with Class X Illinois Felony Armed Violence and Aggravated Battery, Class 1 Illinois Felony Armed Robbery, Class 2 Felony Burglary and Class 3 Felony Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm. She was also charged with misdeameanor Aggravated Assault and Child Endangerment. Bond was set at $1 million and a preliminary hearing date of Wednesday June 28th was set. Creek was remanded back into the custody of the White County Sheriffs Department.
