The Lawrenceville Lady Softball Indians are still alive in the postseason. They used a potent offense to win Monday afternoon at Vandalia 13-6 in the opening round of the Class 2A Flora Regional. The win improves the squad to 12-14 and puts them into the semi-finals scheduled for Tuesday (weather and field conditions permitting) at Jennings Field at Flora. The Lady Indians are to play a familiar foe-the top seeded and Little Illini Conference rival Newton Lady Eagles in the first game at 4 p.m. The second semi-final has host Flora against Robinson at 6 p.m. The two winners will meet Friday at 4:30 p.m. for the championship.
