The Red Hill Lady Track and Field Salukis captured the 2023 Matt Scherer Girls Invitational Meet and Flora the Boys meet Wednesday at Red Hill Junior/Senior High School in Bridgeport. The host Lady Salukis were first in the team standings with 178 points. They were led by first place finishes by Riley Moore in the 400 meters, Gabby Przygocki in the discus and in both the 200 and 400 meter relays. Oblong-Palestine-Hutsonville (O-P-H) was second with 96 points followed by Flora, Fairfield, Vincennes Rivet and the Lawrenceville Lady Indians 6th with 20 points. The track and field Wolves won the boys competition with 150 points with Fairfield second with 134 and O-P-H third with 102. The host Salukis were fourth with 69 points followed up by the Lawrenceville Indiana fifth with 38 points and Vincennes Rivet sixth with 4 points.
