The Wabash Valley College (WVC) Lady Softball Warriors split a road doubleheader Thursday at John A. Logan College in Carterville Ill. The hosts won the first game 4-3 in 9 innings and WVC won the second game 7-3. Former Lawrenceville Lady Indian Jayley Akers had a good day at the plate in both games as she reached base 7 times. Akers had a solo homer, two singles and a walk in the game one loss and had 2 singles and a 2 run homer in the second game win. WVC is at home Saturday for a doubleheader against Rend Lake College beginning at noon at Paul Schnarre Field in Mt Carmel.
