NWS WIND ADVISORY

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Wind Advisory from 1 p.m. CDT Friday until 1 p.m. CDT Saturday for the entire WAKO listening area. South winds from 25 to 35 mph will occur during the period with gusts up to 45 to 55 mph. Stronger winds are possible in forecasted showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. These types of high winds will blow around unsecured objects outside. Small trees and tree limbs could be blown down. Those traveling in high profile vehicles such as campers and RVs should use extra caution during the windy period.
