BASEBALL SALUKIS WIN ON ROAD

The Red Hill Baseball Salukis got back on the winning track Tuesday with a road win over Oblong-Palestine-Hutsonville 8-2 at Oblong. The Salukis received outstanding starting pitching from Payton Seaney who went 6 2/3 innings and allowed 2 runs on 7 hits and struck out 9 while walking only 1. Bryce Gross finished up in relief. Gross also had 2 hits and 2 RBI, Max Moore 2 hits and 2 RBI, Carter Davis 2 hits and Jacob Powden 3 hits to lead the Saluki offense. They scored 8 runs on 12 hits and made 4 errors while OPH was held to 2 runs on 7 hits with 2 errors. With the win, the Salukis are now 3-1 and are idle till Friday when they host Fairfield at the Tank Farm in Bridgeport.
