BASEBALL INDIANS WIN OPENER

The Lawrenceville Baseball Indians are off to a good start to the 2023 season. They rallied late in the game on the road at Louisville Tuesday and nipped the host North Clay Cardinals 6-5. The Tribe scored their 6 runs on 5 hits while the Cardinals tallied 5 runs on 8 hits. Neilan Bickers had 2 RBI and Maddux Pargin and Jack Patterson each had a RBI for the Indians. Patterson started on the mound for the Indians and went two innings. Emery Ivers also went two innings before Landon Sanders finished up with three innings to pick up the win. The 1-0 Indians are scheduled to open their home schedule Wednesday afternoon against Dieterich at 4:30 p.m. at Unit 20 Ballpark in Lawrenceville.
