A Crawford County couple have been sentenced to federal prison in U.S. District Court. 31 year old Zachary Patrick of Oblong and 31 year old Brianna Blair of Robinson both pled guilty to one count of Conspiracy to Commit Financial Institution Fraud and one count of Aggravated Identity Theft. Those charges stemmed from the duo stealing checks and personal information from multiple victims by breaking into their vehicles. They then used the information to write and deposit fake checks, forge signatures and withdraw thousands of dollars as they traveled around eastern and southeastern Illinois and southwestern Indiana. They were finally captured in a hotel parking lot in Brazil, Indiana trying to break into another vehicle. Patrick was given a 5 year term with 5 years of mandatory supervised release while Blair was given a 25 month sentence with 3 years of mandatory supervised release.
