The Lawrenceville Lady Basketball Indians are off to a good start in the new year of 2023. They won handily over the Martinsville Lady Bluestreaks 49-16 in non-conference action Wednesday night at Lawrenceville High School. The hosts led 13-7 after one quarter, 27-9 at the half and 43-11 after three quarters enroute to the victory. The 3-13 Lady Indians were led in scoring by Mallory Lockhart with 11 points. The game was varsity only. The Lady Indians return to Little Illini Conference play Thursday night as they host the Newton Lady Eagles at LHS with JV play starting at 6 p.m. and the varsity to follow.
