The Lawrenceville Lady Basketball Indians split in the opening day of pool play at the 2022 Fairfield Girls Merry Mule Tournament Monday. They lost to host Fairfield in their opening contest 47-16, but rebounded later to snap a 6 game losing skid with a 42-30 win over Murphysboro. The Lady Indians are now 2-11 and will face Woodlawn at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday and then play another game later as the two day tournament concludes.
