Patricia ‘Patty’ Ann Lewis, age 90, of Sumner, Illinois passed away on Thursday, December 01, 2022 at StoneBridge Memory Care in Olney, Illinois. She was born on March 21, 1932 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Howard and Eugenia (Smith) Smith. She married Donald E. Lewis on October 15, 1950, and he preceded her in death on July 02, 2013
Patty was a homemaker. In her earlier years, she worked as a telephone operator, as well as in clerical at the ASCS Office and Suttle Apparatus. She attended Beulah United Methodist Church and Sumner Congregational Church, and was a member of the Lawrence County Home Extension. She enjoyed crocheting, listening to music, and reading.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; one brother, Howard ‘Neal’ Smith; and one son, Rick Lewis.
Survivors include two children, Deanna Bennett and husband, Ronnie and James Cameron Lewis; one daughter-in-law, Pam Lewis all of Sumner, Illinois; two step-sisters, Sue and Betty; and two grandsons, Cody Lewis and Cameron Lewis.
Private services were conducted. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Condolences may be sent to J.C. Lewis at 7383 Sumner Road in Sumner, Illinios 62466. Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois were in charge of the arrangements.
