The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for the entire WAKO listening area across southeastern Illinois and southwestern Indiana. It is effective from 9 p.m. Monday until 9 a.m. CDT Tuesday. Temperatures during that period are anticipated to drop into the mid 20s. Those temperatures will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and potentially damage unprotected outdoor plumbing such as water pipes and in-ground sprinkler systems.
