Charles ‘Mike’ Grimes, age 61, of Bridgeport, Illinois passed away on Thursday, September 01, 2022 at IU Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on June 11, 1961 in Lincoln, Illinois, the son of Donald and Schawanda (Whiteside) Grimes. He married Julie Rankin on July 30, 2011, and she survives.
Mike was a pharmacist. He worked at Hooks Drug Store, CVS, and 20 plus years at Walmart in Lawrenceville as the RX Pharmacist/Manager.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Steve Grimes; and one sister, Cindy Grimes.
Survivors include his wife, Julie; one son, Jeffrey Grimes and wife, Kelsey of Iowa; one step-son, Alex Walls and wife, Kelsi of Greenwood, Indiana; one step-grandson, Lincoln Walls; one sister, Julene Celander; and two furry companions, Yadi and Bader.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 07, 2022 at 10:00 AM CDT at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM CDT at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
