Eric Stanley Doersam, age 58 of rural Sumner, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 5, 1964 in Lawrenceville the middle child of Stanley and Kay (Rhinehart) Doersam.
On June 10, 1989 in Vincennes, IN, Eric married Kristina Marie Morgan.
Eric was a graduate from Red Hill High School. He was a hard worker and enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with his family, and enjoying life. Eric had worked for many years as a foreman for D & E Tree Service.
Surviving family includes: his wife of 33 years- Kristina Doersam of Sumner: his mother- Kay Doersam of Sumner: seven children- Josh Doersam and wife Chelsea of Lawrenceville, Kricia Doersam of Sumner, Sabrina Eastwood and husband Howard of Bridgeport, Mark Doersam and wife Jordan of Bridgeport, Erica Doersam of Effingham, Amanda Doersam of Sumner, and Luke Doersam of Sumner: one brother- Richard “Mike” Doersam and wife Judy of Sumner: eleven grandchildren with one more on the way: and numerous extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Richard Bradley Doersam.
A visitation will be held at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A private burial will take place.
