Edith Josephine Downard, age 81 of Bridgeport, passed away on July 9, 2022 at Aperion Care. She was born on September 24, 1940 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Charlie and Mary (Smith) Hart.
She spent many years working with exceptional individuals.
Edith married Gary Downard and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters- Melinda Cessna and her husband Dale of Lawrenceville, Cindy Hicks and her boyfriend George of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas, and Jeannie Knight and husband Eddie of Estill Springs, Tennessee: six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband- Gary Downard: her parents- Charles and Mary Hart: and her siblings.
No formal services are scheduled at this time. Cunningham-Young Funeral Home of Lawrenceville are assisting the family.
