Authorities in Vincennes say that a situation involving a man barricading himself inside a residence ended peacefully this week. Vincennes Police report the incident began Thursday when officers went to the 100 block East New Albany Avenue  to serve arrest warrants on 40 year old David Benjamin of Vincennes. While speaking to a female at the residence, they heard sounds of large objects being moved against the doors to prevent their entry. The officers withdrew and negotiations began with Benjamin inside. After about 2 hours, he emerged and surrendered without incident. Benjamin was wanted on Knox County warrant for Probation Violation and Domestic Battery. He was booked into the Knox County Jail.
