A Lawrence County man was among the injured in a three vehicle fatal accident in Knox County Indiana Tuesday morning. Authorities say the mishap occurred around 7:40 a.m. EDT on Indiana State Road 67 near Bruceville. A vehicle being driven by 17 year old Hayla Roark of Bicknell was heading south on 67 near Water Tower road and veered across the center line and hit an oncoming truck being driven by Brian Ravellette of Vincennes headon. Another truck being driven by Richard Goss of Bridgeport could not avoid the accident and overturned after striking the Roark vehicle. Roark was pronounced dead at the scene from her injuries. Both Goss and Ravellette were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes with non life-threatening injuries. The road was shut down for several hours to allow for cleanup of the wreckage. Indiana State Police and the Knox County Sheriffs Department indicate that investigation into the accident circumstances is continuing.
