Lawrence County States Attorney Michael Strange has announced that a Lawrence County woman has been sentenced to prison this week. 39 year old Mariea Tate of Lawrenceville was charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 Illinois Felony. She had been placed on felony probation but admitted to violating the terms of the probation and was given a 4 year term in the Illinois Department of Corrections in Lawrence County Circuit Court. Tate must also pay all previous court fines and assessments.
