Catcher Francisco Mejia blasted a two run homer off starter and loser Marcus Stroman Wednesday evening in a four run first inning to lead the Tampa Bay Rays to an 8-2 6 inning win over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. The game was called early due to heavy rain in the Chicago area. The Rays took two of three in the interleague series. The Cubs return to N.L. Central Division play Thursday night as they host the Pittsburgh Pirates in the first of a four game weekend set at Wrigley.
