The Good Samaritan Hospital Board of Governors met in special session Tuesday and voted to approve the purchase of the Bierhaus Building located at 328 North Second Street for $1.5 million. Hospital officials say the over 63,000 square foot building will provide additional space needed for accommodating the various service lines the hospital currently offers and be a location for future growth. The building sits on over 2400 acres on Second Street with easy access and ample parking for patients and staff. It is also located near two other hospital-owned properties. The purchase will be funded through Good Samaritan’s financial reserves.
