The National Weather Service says that arctic high pressure has brought another system of bitterly cold air into the WAKO listening area. Temperatures Tuesday night will bottom out at around five to 15 degrees but light northerly winds will make it feel even colder. Around daybreak Wednesday, wind chills are forecast to be from zero to five below across the region. These types of wind chills will affect morning commuters and school children waiting for buses. Dress in layers, wear a hat or hood and avoid lengthy periods outside during these types of conditions.
