INDIANA STATE POLICE ARREST

Indiana State Police early Saturday arrested a Knox County man for impersonating a public official after driving over 90 m.p.h. in Gibson County. Reports indicate that a trooper on patrol observed and clocked a 2005 Chevrolet traveling north on U.S. 41 at 93 m.p.h. in a 60 m.p.h. zone. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle whose driver was 31 year old Justin McGiffen of Vincennes. McGiffen showed signs of impairment at the scene.  After failing several field sobriety tests, McGiffen  produce a wallet from his pocket and displayed a gold badge. He was taken to the Gibson County Jail where he was found to have a B.A.C. of .07%. McGiffen was preliminarily charged with Impersonating a Public Servant, Operating a vehicle While Intoxicated and Reckless Driving. He is currently being held on bond.
