The Lawrenceville City Council met Thursday night in regular session at City Hall. Mayor David Courtney indicated that the city will be more aggressive in the future with regard to enforcements of code violations such as littering of properties, junk vehicles, tall grass and the like. The council did approve the dissolving of the special tax allocation for the Tax Increment Financing District #2, The Mayor also reported that the Greater Wabash Regional Planning Commission has sent in to the state the application for a Downtown Beautification Grant which could lead to a pavilion structure in the area. Aaron Tipsword informed the council of ongoing activity at the city sewer plant and Lawrence County Memorial Hospital Chief Executive Officer Don Robbins was on hand to update the group on the new Master Facilities Plan underway for the medical facility in Lawrenceville.
