A local man has announced his candidacy for Regional Superintendent of Schools District #12 which includes Lawrence, Clay, Crawford, Jasper and Richland Counties. 42 year old Jeremy Brush of Lawrenceville this week made his intentions known that he will run as a Republican candidate for the position in the upcoming June primary election. The Robinson Illinois native has worked in education in the five county region for 19 years. He taught at Lawrenceville High School for 5 years before serving 2 years as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at the school. He then moved on to become Parkview Junior High School Principal for 9 years. He is currently the Assistant Director/Interventionist of the ASSIST Program for R.O.E. #12. Brush and his wife reside in Lawrenceville along with their 2 children.
